National accounts: main indicators on enterprises (financial institutions)

This dataset includes the main financial accounts indicators for financial corporations, compiled in accordance with the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010). It provides detailed information on the outstanding stocks of financial assets and liabilities of financial institutions, broken down by type of financial instrument and counterpart sector.

It covers data on currency and deposits, loans, debt securities, shares and investment fund shares, insurance, pension and standardised guarantee schemes, monetary gold and special drawing rights (SDRs), as well as other financial assets and liabilities. These indicators make it possible to analyse the financial structure, indebtedness and balance sheet position of the financial sector, as well as its linkages with the rest of the economy.

This dataset is key for macroeconomic analysis, financial supervision and financial stability studies, and facilitates the monitoring of financial intermediation in the Spanish economy.
