Consolidated gross debt of Public Administration. Quarterly data

Identifier: BDE-D-000004

Description

This dataset provides quarterly indicators of consolidated gross debt of general government, compiled in accordance with the Excessive Deficit Procedure (EDP) and the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010).

It includes detailed information on the quarterly outstanding amounts of public debt, with a breakdown by financial instruments (currency and deposits, loans and debt securities). The higher frequency allows a closer and more up-to-date monitoring of developments in public indebtedness.

This dataset is particularly relevant for short-term analysis of public finances, assessment of deficit and debt dynamics, and support for economic and budgetary decision-making, both at national and European level.
