Daily exchange rates

This statistical series dataset provides bilateral exchange rates of the euro against a wide range of currencies, published by the Banco de España as part of external-sector and monetary statistics. It includes daily series of the euro's official exchange rates disseminated by the European Central Bank, for example, US dollars per euro, yen, pound sterling, Swiss franc, yuan, among other currencies, expressed as units of foreign currency per one euro.

It also incorporates historical series for the Spanish peseta against various foreign currencies (expressed in pesetas per foreign currency unit), which are considered discontinued after the adoption of the euro in 1999. Euro series begin with the introduction of the single currency and are updated daily (providing a reference quote for each business day), while peseta series cover the earlier period and are published monthly until they ended with the entry into force of the euro.
