Monthly exchange rates

This dataset brings together monthly statistical series on exchange rates, compiled on the basis of monthly averages of daily data. It includes both official exchange rates set by the European Central Bank (ECB) and other exchange rates.

The information refers to bilateral exchange rate series, expressed as units of foreign currency per euro, or, in certain cases, as units of foreign currency per US dollar. The series cover European and non-European currencies -including European Union currencies, Asian and American currencies, and currencies of emerging market economies- and are disseminated at a monthly frequency, allowing for a consistent analysis of developments in foreign exchange markets over time.
